Study on Impact of Changes of Watershed Geomorphic Features on Runoff

Vol. 3, No. 7, pp. 19-23, 2023 DOI: 10.54691/fse.v3i7.5311 July 22, 2023
Abstract.China has been undergoing rapid urbanization, which in turn greatly affects the watershed geomorphology and surface runoff. Estimation of surface runoff is essential for the assessment of runoff potential of a watershed, planning of water conservation measures and reducing the flooding hazards of downstream by utilizing appropriate hydrologic model. Qiantang Estuary, well-known for its giant tidal, has few observed and experimental runoff data. Therefore, Soil Conservation Service Curve Number (SCS-CN) model was used to determinate surface runoff in this study watershed, integrating Geographic … Read more →

Study of the Effects of Direct Focused Versus Direct Unfocused Written Corrective Feedback on the Accuracy of Prepositions in English Writing of High School Students

Vol. 3, No. 7, pp. 24-29, 2023 DOI: 10.54691/fse.v3i7.5312 July 22, 2023
Abstract. This paper focuses on the effects of direct focused written feedback and direct unfocused written feedback on preposition acquisition in high school students' writing. Preposition acquisition can be difficult for second language learners, so it is important to improve students' acquisition in this area. At the same time, the effects of different forms of feedback vary for different levels of students. This study aims to answer three questions: (1) What is the effect of direct focused feedback on high school students' acquisition of prepositions in English writing? (2) What is the effect of … Read more →
